Future Happiness Challenge is a turn based game where four players take on the roles of inhabitants of a city, leading their everyday lives. The goal is to become as happy as possible while balancing economy and time available, but they must also keep an eye on how their lifestyles affect the environment.
Future Happiness Challenge is a game based on a research paper looking closer at the relationship between happiness, income and consumption, while at the same time showing that we can make choices that positively affect the environment and be just as happy.
This game is developed in collaboration between Mistra Urban Futures, Region Västra Götaland, the City of Gothenburg, the Pedagogical Centre and IUS Innovation. The development of the game was funded by Region Västra Götaland and the City of Gothenburg.
